The brief

A premium address demands premium infrastructure — built right from the start.

The Athena Project required an ICT consultancy that could operate at the intersection of architecture, contractor coordination and technology strategy. Retrofitting infrastructure after construction is expensive and disruptive; the mandate was to embed ICT requirements into the build programme from day one.

Arton was engaged before groundbreaking to define the ICT vision, translate it into technical specifications contractors could price and build to, and remain on-site through to commissioning — ensuring every cable run, cabinet, and active component met specification.

The scope covered structured cabling (Cat 6A throughout), fibre backbone, data centre and comms room design, building automation integration points, security and access control infrastructure, AV provisions for shared spaces, and ISP diversity for the completed building's tenants.

Our approach

How we ran the ICT programme.

ICT Needs Analysis & Design

Working with the developer and architect to understand tenancy mix, operational model and future-proofing requirements. Produced a comprehensive ICT design brief and infrastructure specification.

Vendor Specification & Procurement

Structured the tender process, evaluated bids, and provided procurement recommendations covering passive infrastructure, active network equipment, security systems and building automation ICT components.

Installation Oversight & QA

On-site presence throughout installation to inspect cable routing, cabinet builds, earthing, labelling and documentation. Issued formal snag lists and tracked resolution to close. Coordinated ICT work with M&E and civil contractors.

Commissioning & Handover

Full performance testing against specification, structured handover documentation, and tenant-readiness certification. Produced as-built drawings, O&M manuals and an infrastructure management guide for the building management team.
